Bohdan is 20 years old and sustained a complex mine-blast injury in Hostomel on February 25. As a result of the explosion, the guy injured his spine, ribs, lungs, and kidneys. At first, a couple of doctors from Irpin, the Dobrobut Medical Center employees, treated Bohdan, and then he was evacuated to Kyiv. The guy underwent several emergency surgeries, and he has irreversible changes in his lungs, kidneys, and spinal damage that has deprived him of the ability to walk and have children.
He spent seven months in Italy for rehabilitation and has returned to Ukraine, where he continues his fight. The consequences of his injuries led to a persistent bladder infection and the forming of stones, so he needed repeat surgery, which was performed on March 1.
