"Heart beat" is an evolution towards less invasive techniques to treat complex cardiac diseases. The project was started at the initiative of Alexander Babliak. Its implementation is based on the innovative center of surgery "Dobrobut". "Heart beat" is created for children with congenital heart disease and covers 10% of the necessary operations in Ukraine.

Head of Leo Foundation Daria Kotul:

“Covering 10% of operations for children with heart diseases in Ukraine is a serious step for the entire medical sphere. Approximately 10,000 children with congenital heart disease are born in the country each year, and 1,500 of them need urgent surgery. The percentage of coverage needs to be increased, and we have the potential to do so, it all depends on the involvement of Ukrainian and international businesses. "

Goal:

  • Promote the development of cardiac surgery in Ukraine
  • Provide opportunities for children to receive advanced treatment for congenital heart disease
  • Cover 10% of operations required for children
